“Dirty vodka martini plz. See you in 10.” On February 24, 2021, in the midst of the pandemic, fate brought Madeline and Eric together in an unexpected way. Madeline, a midwest girl visiting the Bay Area, and Eric, a California boy somewhat bored in California lockdown. Madeline, with a little too much confidence, warned Eric, "I don't live in California, so don't fall in love with me." And Eric, amused by her words, simply replied, "We'll see about that." Their connection was immediate on their first date. With similarities in their love for their families, adventure and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Despite the physical distance between them, their attraction for one another grew. As days turned into weeks and weeks into months they decided to meet once again, this time in snowy Park City, Utah. Between hooking trout in the Provo River and telling wait staff they were in town celebrating their wedding anniversary as a friendly fib, a love story was being written. Madeline and Eric soon realized that their initial casual encounter had evolved into something truly remarkable. Love had gently woven its way into their hearts, defying the geographical distance that separated them. 13 cities later, a cross country move and countless memories, Madeline and Eric confirmed that love was not bound by location but by the commitment and mutual partnership that two can create together. As they look back on their journey thus far, it is with gratitude that they cherish every step that has led them to this point. With their dog Clark by their side, Madeline and Eric set forth celebrating their commitment to life, partnership and love. They got engaged over the Fourth of July weekend in 2023 overlooking a beautiful Willamette Valley vineyard …….and they can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you on the 3 year anniversary of their first date, 2.24.24!
